W AIM ATE SENSATION. Tho shots tired at the burglar lodged about fifteen inches from tho door. The burglar, keeping in tho shadow, had not far to go before ho reached tho gate, 110 shut it, and locked it on the outside, to give him a, better chance of escaping. The whole thing wad very coolly planned. Tho burglar gained an entrance by a> window, but apparently as eooi as ho was in he opened the doors, to himself a quick way of escape. Ho had cut tho telephone, and Lad .also cut off too gas at the meter. These ittcts, coupled with tho burglary at. tho hotel, suggest that the va* expert.
