TO-DAY’S POULTRY MARKET. The Canterbury Co-operative Poultry Prodccrs, Ltd., report a very large entry Tor their sale to day. There was a good listing of all classes and a keen demand shown for prim© quality birds. Table chickens realised 5s to 13a, hens 2a to 7s. ducks 4s to 3b 6d, ducklings 4s to 9s. geese 7a to 9s. pullets 6b to 15s. turkeys IQs to 30s U all at per pair. Special advertised sale of hens and pullets realised: Hens 4s to 9s, pullets 7s to 12s per pair. THE EGG MARKET. Owing to the cold snap the egg supply has eased, with the result that prices have hardened. There is an excellent demand and Canterburj l - Co-operative Poultry Producers, Ltd., “ Chain Brand ” first grades are 2s 3d. seconds 2s 2d. ducks 2s 2d per THE CITY MARKET. Report of poultry sale. H. C. Smith reports a very largo entry of poultrv for their Friday's weekly sale. The principal entries were country birds and cockerels predominated. Some of the best of quality came forward, but competition was not to keen, the principal dealers lidding large supplies. Cockerels 2s 6d to 12s 6d. hens 2s 6d to 6a Gd, pullets 3a lid to 11s, ducks and ducklings 3s 6d to Ss 6d. eggs Is 9d to Is lid. PROPERTY AUCTIONS. At their land sale rooms to-day H. Matson and Co., in conjunction with the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association Ltd., offered for sale by public auction a farm of 139 acres near the Leeßton township, and owned by Mrs William Jameson, h eTfann was sold to Mr John Legg (Killinohy) for £67 10s an acre. H. Matson and Co. also offered for sale on account of Mr J. W. Briggs two sections situated in Quinn's Road, Shirley. Both properties failed to reach the owner's reserve and were passed in.
