The Finance Minister last evening submitted a scheme to Cabinet aiming at countering the tall in the franc, and comprising, mostly, more rigorous police regulation to suppress the campaign in favour of the sale of Government securities; secondly, a revised system of quotation on the Bourse; thirdly, the weeding out of undesirable heterogeneous frequenters of the Stock Exchange market; fourthly, stricter supervision of bankers’ exchange operations ; fifthly, an endeavour to check the practice of certain exporters leaving foreign money abroad.
