AN AUDACIOUS THEFT.
Per Press Association*. AUCKLAND, January 10. An audacious theft was perpetrated ip the Chief Post Office at 3 p.m. yesterday, Henry Ivovell, an elderlv mwn, losing £l4l 12s 4d. He had withdrawn the amount of his account from the Savings Bank and had taken the notes and coin to a desk to count t*cm. Recollecting that he had left the cover of his book at another desk. He left the money and went to get The money had disappeared when he returned. Tko numbers of the notes are known.
