On Friday, December 21, the retail stores will remain open till 9 p.m., but late night on Christmas Eve will be to 10 p.m. There will be no Is to closing on December 31. the shops locking their doors at 5.30 p.m. Mr Fred. Bartram, M.P. for Grey Lynn, will arrive in Christchurch this evening, and will lecture on Sunday evening at the Trades Hall at 8 o’clock. Mr Bartram’s subject, “The Mother and the State,” is of special interest to women.
