MODEL YACHTING
CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. On Saturday afternoon at Lake Victoria. Hagiey Park, the Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed off the first- two heats of the four which constitute the president's race for four prizes donated by the club president. Mr Geo. Humphreys. The wind was moderate from the north-eaßt, and eight boats competed in the heats, which were sailed under the supervision of the club commodore. Mr O. B. Ekeusteen. and resulted as follows: First heat—W. SchenkeVs Alert, 8 points. 1; ,T. G. Firth's 0.E.0.. 5 points, 3; C. A. Oakes Emerald Isle. 3 points, 3: R. C. M Tntoshs Valmai, 2 points. 4; L. A. Morrison's Dolphin. 1 point, o. Second heat—Alert. 8 poiuts. 1 : Emerald Tale. 5 points. 2; Dolphin. 3 points. 3; 0.E.0.. 2 points, 4: IT. Bowlker'a Lily, 1 point. 5. Time for each heat—3lmiu. Total points gained for the day: —Alert 16. Emerald Tsle 8, 0.E.0. 7. Dolphin 4. Valmai 2. Lily L The race will be concluded next Saturday.
