ALLEGED CONTEMPT OF COURT.

CASE BEFORE SUPREME COURT. Par Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 29. The Supreme Court (Full Bench) heard argument this morning in a ease arising out th© divorce case, Nash v. Nash. The petitioner, William Henry Nash, applied to the Court to commit to prison or attach, for contempt of Court, Henry Clarence Cobb, one of the witnesses for respondent. The ground of th©? application was an allegation that Cobb had during the of the trial attempted to influence one of the jurymen in respect to the case. Mr O’Regan, for Cobb, raised the question as to th© jurisdiction of the Court. Ho maintained that the Court had no power in a case such as this to commit for contempt.
