GARDEN FETE.

AT RANNERDALE HOME. The beautiful sunny afternoon attracted a large gathering to tho garden fete held at the Kannerdale Home to-day. The pretty grounds looked their best, the trees and well-kept lawns making a very pleasing background for the number of guests present. Tho music of the afternoon was supplied by an orchestra, the tit Andrew's Pipe Band, and the Tramway Band also lent their services for the afternoon. The many attractions provided kept everyone busy, and allowed for no dull moments. The character writing, crystal gazing, and cess, and provided much fun and laughter. The stalls were all well stocked and the stallholders were kept busy with their many customers. Tho stall-holders were as follow : Mrs Tcmpler, secretary. Tea stall—Mesdames. Sweets—Mrs Hansen, Misses Wilson and Hamber. Ice cream—Misses Gerard. Overton and Prius. Flowers—Mesdames J. Montgomery Heathcote Grey, Rich, Ait-ken and Gould. Books—Mrs Warden, Misses Jameson and Warden. Cakes—Mesdames Brittan, Hiatt, Misses Cuthbert and M'Owcn. Surprise packets—Mesdames Bristed. G. E. Rhodes. Misses Spencer and Graham. The patients, who derived bo much benefit from the holiday last year, aro eagerly awaiting the wr.rraer days, when they will go to reside at the seaside for tho holiday
