HOSPITAL LADY VISITORS’ ASSOCIATION.

AXXUAL MEETING. The thirty-sixth annual meeting of the Hospital Lady V’isitors’ Association xvas held yesterday afternoon in tlic lecture hall at the Christchurch Hospital. Mrs Ilogg. vice-president, was in the chair, as Lady Rhodes (president! could not be present. The annual report, presented by Miss M. Wilson, assistant honorary secretary in the absence of Miss Turner, stated. that during the year 213 patients had been sent to the Rhodes Convalescent Home. The winter party had done valuable work, 156 garments being made for destitute patients. Vocational work had been carried on successfully. The libraries and those who gave concerts had done much for the patients during the year. The report was adopted. The balance-sheet was presented by Miss Munro. The cash account showed an income of £948. and ar\ expenditure of £951. The amount carried forward in general account was £467. Votes of thanks were passed to the Hyman Marks Trustees, Mr H. D. Andrew-. Miss Munro, Mr Olliver. musical organisers and helpers, the ladies who helped in the library. Holly Lea ladies. Miss Wilson’s work porty. ball committee. Lady Jellicoe, and Mr Bailey for donations. Also to Mrs Slowman and Mrs Fenwick for taking out chronic children patients. The new committee elected is;—President, Laclv Rhodes; committee. Mesdames Hogg. J. Studholme. T. Fleming, F. Owen. Stewart. Blackburn. Miss Ward, Miss Laura Tabart (chairwoman). Miss Cardalc, Misses Muir, and Julius: hon secretary. Miss Turner; assistant him secretary, Miss Mary WiiMiss Tripp. Mrs Irving, and Mrs G-. Rhodes were elected life members.
