J An inquest concerning the death of Emma Harriet Minchin. a widower, aged fifty, which, occurred. at the Christchurch Hospital on October 3P- , was held by Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., j to-day. I Dr E. H. Comrie, of the staff of the Christchurch Hospital, said that the I deceased was received into the hospij tal about 11 a.m. on October 19. when • she almost completely unconscious. Sho died at four o’clock that afternoon without having recovered Dr A. B. Pearson, pathologist at the Christchurch Hospital, reported the results of a post mortem examination which lie had made. Death was due to purelent (acute) bronchitis, bronchopneumonia and blood poisoning, A verdict was returned in accordance with ihe medical evidence. DEATH FROM INJURIES. Pub. Press Association. Walter Nicholas Papesch, aged twenty-five, a labourer, died in the hospital from injuries received on Saturday evening through striking his head on an iron standard while looking out on the wrong side of a tramcar platform. DEATH FROM BURNS. Pier. Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 25, Chief Supply Petty Officer W. Tickell, who was coming to join the Philomel, died on the Remuera last Saturday from burns and injuries.
