The Exchange Agency’s Berlin correspondent states that there were numerous small demonstrations last night. The police were summoned to forty places, but quickly restored order The most important incident took place in the Ackerstrasse market, where the police dispersed 20.1KX) persons who were endeavouring to smash the shutters of shops. Cabinet has decreed that food shops must be kept open and that shopkeepers must accept payment in paper marks, the penalty for non-observance of the decree being penal servitudePlunderers are to be summarily punished .
