WOBBLING REPUBLICAN. By Telegraph—Frees Association —Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received October 24, 12.30 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, October 23. Speaking at Durban, General Hertzog was severely heckled on the question of Republicanism. Replying to a question, lie said that although he believed that Republicanism was the best form of Government, the Nationalist Party never placed it as a pldnk in their platform. Asked if he was prepared to drop the Republican objective, he said lie never would, but the Nationalist Party would not ask the people of South Africa to deoMed upon this or that method of government until such time as English and Dutch both desired it.
