PARKER BEATS FITZSIMMONS. Pfr Press Association. TIMARU, October 23. A professional bout Eddie Parker. light-heavy-weight champion. against Sid. Fitzsimmons went eight rounds, Fitzsimmons withdrawing on account of the recurrence of a left arm injury. Till the stoppage of the fight there was practically no difference in points, though Fitzsimmons was showing signs of tiring. The bout was characterised by in-fighting, most of the fight being carried to the body by both. Par ker conceded nearly two stone in weight as well as height and reach, but was much 'he fitter man.
