FANCY DRESS PARTY.

Dixieland presented a very gay and festive appearance last evening, when the art students of Christchurch gave a fancy dress party to their friends and fellow students. The secretary, Mrs R. M'Kenzie, with a willing band of helpers, spared no trouble to make the evening a success. The jazz room was decorated with baskets of red poppies and red and yellow lamp shades with long streamers of blue ribbons. The supper room and lounge were made very festive with huge baskets of paper poppies and large bowls of arum lilies. About forty couples danced to the music of Sutherland’s Jazz Band.
