CHILDREN’S PARTY.
There was a bright an-d merry scene at the Redcliffs Community Hall last evening, when the members of the School Committee entertained the children of the school at a fancy dress party. The hall was prettily decorated with balloons and coloured streamers,
and when the children were assembled in their gay costumes for the grand march a pretty and animated scene was presented. The chairman of the committee, Mr 8. Thomas, welcomed the children and hoped they would have a jolly time. A committee of ladies provided supper. Songs and recitations wore interspersed with rho dances, and at the conclusion of the evening cheers were given for the members of the committee. Among those in fancy costume were:
