VALEDICTORY.

On Friday afteiTioon at the home of Air and Airs C. AVilkins, AVairarapa Terrace, the staff and ex-teachers of the Richmond School gathered to -say farewell to Air and Airs J. AV. Al’Gregor, on the occasion of Air AI Gregor’s retirement from the headmastership of the school.

On behalf of the staff. Air J. Bowden, Avho has been associated with tho school for many years, presented Air Al’Gregor with a silver-mounted umbrella and a travelling case. Aliss E. J. Al’Gregor, headmistress of the school, presented Airs Al’Gregor with a travelling companion.

Alessrs -T. E. Purchase, H. F. Penlington, J. Bowden and C. AVilkins gave interesting reminiscences of their long association with Air Al’Gregor, and at the same time wished him a pleasant trip to the Old Country arid a safe return.

In thanking those present, AJr Al’Gregor said ho would retain many pleasant memories of his headmastership at Richmond, and expressed liis sincere appreciation of the assistance rendered him by his staff throughout his career.
