The House of Representatives sat till the forenoon discussing Supply. The Hou S. M. Bruce applied tho closure, whereupon the Opposition broke out in a pandemonium such as has seldom, if ever, been witnessed in the House. Sixty-seven divisions were forced on different items within twelve hours. One member was expelled and two named. Tho House re-asembled in the afternoon and debated a motion by Mr Mahon that the next Parliament meet at Canberra. The closure motion was defeated by 20 votes to 27, the voting; being on non-party lines. The debate was then adjourned till Thursday. Both Houses adjourned till next day.
