The Erroll. which' was due at Lyttelton this morning has been delayed at Wellington, and was not expected to leave that port till noon to-day. The Kennedy is expected from Wei lington on Sunday. She will load on Monday for Foxton. The Storm arrived yesterday morning from Timaru to load for Wellington. She sailed for the north last evening. The Katoa could not complete loading j’efiterday owing to rain. She will be dispatched for Wellington this afternoon. The Kauri is due to-morrow from Auckland via Wellington to load a full cargo of produce and general for Auckland. The Wakatu will be dispatched for Wellington via Kaikoura this evening. The Cygnet is timed to leave Lyttelton this evening for Kaikoura, Nelson and Motuelca. Belfast is still keeping the lead in shipbuilding. The 27,000-ton, oil. fueled Red Star liner Belgenland left HaidanU and Wolffs yard on March 17. Formerly a cargo steamer, she has been transformed into a fine passenger liner, with accommodation for over 2500 passengern. and will sail between Antwerp and New York. Others t-o follow are the Veen dam, 3 5,400 tons, for the Holland-America. Line, and the Pacific liner. Oroya, 12,300 tons. Two boats of 20.700 tons each are being finished or in process of building for the P. and O. Line—the Moolton and the Maloja. The White Star liner, the Doric. 16.600 tons, should be ready now. The Asturia-s. 12.200 tons, which has been re-conditioned after being torpedoed during the war, will now re-join the famous A boats of the Royal Mail Steam Packer Company, presumably for Buenos Ayres. The largest boat in the yards is the Holland-America liner Suttendam. 32.0CQ tons. A cable message has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Corapan" that their new steamer Turakina. was sucessfully Jattnched on May 4 by Hamilton and Co., .at Port Glasgow. It was also stated that tile vessel is expected to be ready for delivery in September. The Turakina. which is named after the vessel sunk by the German* during the war, will he a ' cargo carrier of about 9775 tons gross, and ] will be somewhat similar to the Hurunui. WIRELESS NOTICE.
