Financial circles are disquieted by the Turkish authorities closing the local branch ol the Bank of Athens, and seizing the funds, two-thirds of which are French. The action is a reprisal of the (■reek Government seizing the property of Macedonian Moslems. The Bank of Athens was established in 1894. It lias thirty-one branches, of which one is in Constantinople.
