ASSOCIATION AND COUNCIL (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 5. The Boxing. Council has gh r en notice that, in view of the approaching Dominion Championships, it is essential that immediate steps should be taken to ensure the establishment in Dunedin of a local controlling body affiliated to the council, in default of which the council Avill take such steps as it deems necessary. The Otago Association has suggested to the Minister for Internal Affairs that an Advisory Committee comprising Mi McVilly (president of the Wellington Association), one representative of the Boxing Council, Mr Emerie (Timaru), and a fourth member to be nominated by the Minister should be appointed to meet in Wellington and hear the evidence of the repi’esentatives of the Otago Association, who are prepared to abide by the committee’s decision.
