A Syrian maniac silk-weaver, with a huge knife, attempted to assassinate Mr John D. Rockefeller, junr.. rnanv times millionaire in his own right, as the latter was about to step out of an auto in which he had travelled from his home to his office. Four guards, after a struggle, overcame the assail ant, who was taken to a hospital for observation.
