TWO MEN BURNED. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND. May 4. By the explosion, of coal dust in Wilson’s cement works at Warkworth Roger Teague, aged fifty, was severely burned about the face and both arms, and Noble Kemp, aged fifty-four, was burned on the neck and arms. Roth men. who are employees at the works, are in the Auckland Hospital and are progressing favourably. SUDDEN DEATH. (Per Press Association.) GR EYMOUTH, May 4. Mr Frank White, aged 75 years, died suddenly while at breakfast this morning. He was the Westland District Attendance Officer for the Canterbury Education Board. MILL HAND KILLED. (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM. May 4. Thomas Henry Water, aged fift-y----j nine, was killed at the Canvastown ! Sawmill yesterday. A log rolled off a } skid, crushing him. INQUEST. W AIM ATE, May 3. An inquest was opened and adjournned, to permit taking the girl’s evidence, on the female baby of a hotel waitress. The Coroner, Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M.. commented severely upon the action of the girl’s mother in not immediately reporting the matter to the police. Only when a doctor was called to attend the girl, nearly two days later, was the matter brought to light.
