IN THE PUBLIC EYE.
MRS E. R. M’COMBS. wife of Mr J. M*Oonibs. M.P.. has been re-elected to the Christchurch City Council after two years of useful work in the Labour group. She is the second woman to have held e seat, in the Council, hut unlike her predecessor. Mrs Ada Wells, she was eager to continue for a second term. The securing of children in the centre' of the City was one of her most useful achievements in the past Council, hut on all subjects she entered freely into the debates of the Council.
