BRITISH LABOUR ATTITUDE
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received May 4. noon.) LONDON. May 3. After the meeting of the Party in the House of Commons regarding the Ruhr and the position of affairs in Central Europe, a statement was issued requesting an immediate special meeting of the League of Nations to arrange the admission of Germany and proceed to settle the conditions of national security in Europe. The document states that the Labour Party, without committing itself to all the details of the German Note, believes that it affords a basis for negotiations between the German and Allied Government. The Party urges the British Government to issue a statement to that effect, and to promote an immediate conference.
