A Dunedin message to the “ Star " says:—“ Raining hard, track partially under water; very doubtful if races will be held to-morrow.” A BURGLAR ESCAPES. It has been reported to the police that a burglar was caught this morning after he had gained entrance to a confectionery shop iu Kilmorc Street, tenanted by Mrs Robinson, and that the man escaped, after a tussle with Mr E. Clark, of St Albans, who was passing at tlie time.
