An Anglo-French sanctuary in the form of a pantheon, with side chapels, is to be erected near Amiens in memory of all men killed in the Somme battles. French and British committees are raising funds. It is proposed that the names of all those killed should be written in golden books kept in the side chapels. Subscribers of £5 and upwards will be entitled to have one name engraved on bronze tablets.
