NO LOAN FOR WANGANUI.
PROPOSAL LOST. (Pkk Pr.rcss Association.) WANGANUI, Mav 2. The Wanganui Council’s £IOO.OOO water extension loan proposal which, m the preliminary count on the night of the municipal election, was declared carried by twenty-six votes, turns out on the official recount to have been lost by 57 votes. A large number of votes tentatively rejected as informal were accepted on the official scrutiny as Valid.
