WAIMAIRI COUNTY.
NOMINATIONS FOR COUNCIL. The nominations for the Waimairi County Council election, to be held on May 9, closed to day. The members tor the following ridings were elected unopposed:— Styx, W. P. Spencer; Avon, H. Patterson; Marshlands, W. J. Walter; Wairarapa, ( ( rosse ; I*enclailton, J. Seymour; Middleton, T. Newnham : Riccarton. V E Curry; Papanui, Mr R. W. Hawke. The nominations for Belfast- are :—W. A. Nicholls and J. Cleland. For Harewood—F. Sisson- and G. Shipley. The nominations for two representative* of the combined districts of Waimairi f ountv and Riccarton Borough on the North Cnnterburv Hospital Board are:- W. .T. Walter, W. P. Span ccr and A. E. St.cere.
