SUPREME COURT.
TIMARU SESSION. (Per Press Association.) TIMARU, May 1. The Supreme Court sessions opened to-da.y before Mrs Justice Adams. His Honour congretulated the Grand Jury on the lightness of the calendar, there being only two cases for consideration. The Grand Jury returned no bill against Charles Henry Smith for alleged theft. James Myles, who had pleaded guilty to theft was sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment. Frederick G. Smith for theft at Waimate was found guilty and was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and declared a habitual criminal.
