CHRISTCHURCH. TO-DAY’S CASES. (Before Mr H. Y. ‘Wicldowson, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Two first offenders were each fined 10s, in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. TWO OFFENCES. James Curtain was fined 10s. in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment, for drunkenness. For casting offensive matter in a public place he was fined £2, in default ten days’ imprisonment. Prestige, 19s 2d; New Zealand Grinding and Gear Company, Ltd., v. L. Newman, £5 ss; The Christchurch Co-operative Bootmakers’ Union v. S. Price, £2 2s; same v. Carl Bergamini, £1 12s; Booth. MacDonald and Co., Ltd., v. George Kemp, £9 4s 8d : same v. G. Anson. £5 3s: A. E. Gledhill v. W. Craighead, £23 14s 7d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. George Anson was ordered to pay Mason. Struthers and Co.. Ltd., £8 5s 6d. together with 15s fid costs, in default seven days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended if the creditor paid at the rate of 10s a month. W. A. Bissett was ordered to pay Mason, Struthers and Co.. Ltd.. £lO 7s 2d. in default ten days’ imprisonment. No order was made in the case in which Benjamins Ltd. claimed £29 15s from Henry M. Rigby.
