The Marquis of Ailsa unveiled a memorial at the Aerisfl Gunnery School in Turnberry, Ayrshire, to officers and men of the Royal Flying Corps and also to Australian and American airmen who were killed while serving. The memorial is twenty-two feet high and is built on a rocky mound overlooking the Firth of Clyde.
