Only one of the Mossamedes’ boats, containing two British officers, is no v missing. Of 2-58 passengers and crew aboard. 227 were saved. Seven are known to hare- been drowned through the tackle on a boat giving way while it was being launched. Twenty-four others are re port? .1 missing.
