REPLY TO WOMEN’S FROTEST. (Per Press Association.) ASHBURTON, April 30. The chairman of the Hospital Board has replied to the National Council of Women :—“ I have been correctly reported, but certainly did not mean to associate any mental degenerate or epileptic with any good girl, and in my opinion no treatment can be too harsh for those individuals.
