WORKED WITH BISHOP SELWYN.
DEATH OF CANON GOULD. (Pis Press Association*.) GISBORNE.. April 30. The death is announced of Canon Frank Gould, aged ninetv-six year*, who has been resident in New Zealand for seventy-five years, having come, out to Bishop Selwyn. After ordination he started a school at the Bay of Islands, and was subsequently vicar of Otahuhu for many years until he retired He has been resident in Gisborne about, three years. Canon Gould was ordained in 1851 and was a missioner in the Bay of Islands until 1861. when he became vicar of Otahuhu. He had the second longest record in one cure in New Zealand. the record being held by Archdeacon Govett, of New Plymouth.
