LYTTELTON.
(Before Messrs W. T. Lester and F. G. Norton, J.P.’s.) A special sitting of the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court was held last evening to deal with two seamen on the Westmeath in order to enable the vessel to leave port. Peter Cullen, for using obscene language. was fined £2. James Fleming was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, and he was fined £2 on a charge of using obscene language. At a sitting of the Court this morning Michael M’Quirk, on a charge of drunkenness, was fined 10s. in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. For using obscene language, he was fined £2. in default twenty-one days’ imprisonment.
