PROFESSIONALS AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 12. The professional golf tournament was opened this morning in dull weather, but the course and greens were in excellent order. Ham (scr) and Shaw (2) led off. followed by Hood (2) and Blair (4); Butters (scr) and Brooks (scr); Greig (6) and Clements (2); while Moss (2) and A. Smith, captain of the local club, as his partner. This morning’s handicap resulted as follows: Hood, 6 up. Moss, 3 up. Shaw, 3 up. Brooks, 2 up. Ham. 2 up. Butters, 1 up. Blair, all square. Clements, all square. Greig, all square. DUNEDIN.
