WEDDINGS.
' MAY—BOVS. A quiet wedding, was solemnised at St Mary’s Church, Addington, on Monday, the parties being Ada Priscilla Boys, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. .1. Boys, Mayfield Avenue, St Albans and Harry May. second son of Mrs M. Roberts, Selwvn Street. Add- ; ington. Canon Bean was the officiating ' minister. The bride was attired in a smart navy tailored costume and chic little toque of bronze and carried an ivory Bible and streamers. Miss Lily May attended as bridesmaid and wore a pretty coat frock of grey gabardine ornamented with steel beads, and large picture hat. Mr Arthur May was best man. Later the party journeyed to the residence of the bride’s parents where a dainty breakfast was served, only immediate relatives and members of both families being present. ANDERSON—BAXTER. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St Columbia Presbyterian Church, Oxford, the. bride being Miss Edith Myrtle Baxter, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Alex Baxter. Currielea, Oxford. and the bridegroom Mr Kerr Don* nett Anderson, youngest son of Mr H. M. Anderson, Braemyle, Waikari. The officiating minister was the Rev G. Wood. Miss Urquart presided at the organ The church was prettily decorated with flowers and streamers by friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of white suple satin trimmed with silver lace and flowers. She carried a bouquet
of white flowers and maidenhair fern and wore a lovely lacc veil held in place with a wreath of orange blossoms. The bridesmaid, Miss Sarah Baxter, sister of the bride, wore lemon crepe de chine trimmed with gold 'beads, with a hat of pale salmon pink trimmed with radium lace and gold leaves. She carried a bouquet of pink and lemon flowers to match. The bridegroom was attended by his brother Mr W. AnderJ The reception was held at the home j of the bride’s parents, in a marquee on the lawn, where a hundred and fifty guests were received by Mrs Baxter, who wore a dress of navy blue souple satin trimmed with gold beads and lace, with a smart hat to match. The bride received many handsome presents including several cheques. When the newly married couple left for the south, for their honeymoon, the bride wore a beautiful costume of fine navy serge, trimmed with black braid, witli a hat to match.
