ALLEGED GAMING HOUSE.
AUCKLAND PROSECUTION. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 11. At the Police Court Cornelius M’Devitt was charged with a breach, of the Gaming Act on March 17. Evidence was given that the accused had leased a room, which he cienied was used as a gaming house. Detectives got an answer to a telephone call, and on visiting the room found the door to be locked. They entered bv a window and found evidence of occupation and also records of bets. Judgment was reserved.
