At the opening of the Belfast Assir.es the Lord Chief Justice commented on tlie extraordinary decrease it* crime compared with the corresponding period in 1922. Murder charges had fallen from r.inety-seven to nil. Attempted murder from fifty-nine to Arson from twelve to nil. Malicious injury from ninety-seven to Robbery 130 to nine. Firearm offences forty to three.
