The University Sports Union has declined the application of the University Amateur League Football Club for affiliation. on the ground that the element of professional control existed in the government of the New South Wales Rugby league, and it was not in the best intersts of university sport that a constituent club of* the Sports Union should participate in a game in which any element of professional control existed.
