CROWNING EFFORT OF "WILD MEN OF THE ROLSHEVIK PARTY.” B T Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. (Received April 11, 8.55 a.m.) LONDON, April 10. The Moscow correspondent ef ths “ Daily Telegraph,” referring to the Patriarch Tikhon’s trial, on a charge of inciting the people against the Soviet and of resisting the confiscation ef Church treasure, says: “ It is a foregone conclusion that hs will be condemned, either to death or to prolonged imprisonment. The wild men of the Bolshevik party consider the trial a crowning effort of the campaign against a free national church. They realise that his condemnation will serve as a bond of unity which will weld the party together, and prevent the faint-hearted ones from dropping out of the fight.”
