GIRLS' FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
DEDICATION OF A CHAPEL. Archbishop Julius yesterday afternoon dedicated a new chapel at the G iris’ Friendly Society’s Hostel in Gloucester Street. The service was attended by ladies interested in the society’s work and by members of the society. The chapel has been erected by means of a bequeet made by the late Air W • AY el oh through Archbishop Julius. Amongst those present at the service were: Alesdames Carrington (president
of the society). Jobin (vice-president), (’. Bean. C.' Wagstaff (secretary), T. I Cains, Yorke, Chivers. Orbell. Marriner, Holland, Hunter. Croxton M’Gi-egor. M’Laverty, aud Walker, and Misses Julius. Bromley-Co-i ks. bureaux. Haszard, Atkinson. M. Cocks. Baker, Gilbertson, Farr, and Harley. Archbishop Julius said that Mr Welch left about £l5O. to be used for some church purpose. His Grace deeideo that the money could not be used better than for the new chapel. He was sure that the society’s work would have had the donor’s hearty approval. The room .vas essential to the Fid! use of the hostel. It should he the place where all who used the hostel felt absolutely at home.
