REV HOWARD ELLIOTT.
REPLY TO CRITICISM. (Per Press Association.) GORE, April 10. Speaking last night, the Rev Howard E*liott ret erred to the newspaper criticism styling the P.P.A. as bigots and Tiobodies. He maintained that the Christchurch members and those of other groups were men of highly reBpectahle social position. Replying to Mr AY. Nash, the Labour secretary, Mr Elliott reiterated his previous declarations regarding the Tauranga and Oamani seats. Mr Nash Was entitled to put hi s own interpretation on the facts, hut the general* public would recognise the peculiar significance of the fact that both at Oamaru *nd Tauranga Labour stood aside in the interests of the Liberals.
