FALSE FIRE ALARMS.
LARRIKINS HEAVILY FINED. (Per Press . sso . »at:on\ , WELLINGTON, March 9. Eight youths described as of the larrikin type were each flu eel £5 for giving false lire alarms. The probation officer said they were of a type who stood at shop windows and passed indecent remarks to pedestrians. They needed many raps over the knuckles. The Magistrate ordered that the fine money should be deducted fiom their pocket money at the rate of five shillings fveekly and he also made restrictions regarding their conduct.
