FURTHER DISCOVERIES AT LUXOR. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received January 17, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, January 16. The correspondent at Luxor of the “Morning Post” says: “The most notable objects taken from Tutankhamen’s tomb yesterday were a wooden bed covered with strips of gold, with lion feet exquisitely carved, and a seat of cane, which is still taut. The ends of the couch ai*e inlaid with golden hieroglyphics saying: ‘ Lord of Upper and Lower Egypt. Tutankhamen gives ol all life, stability, power, strength rnd happiness.’ ’* A jewel box containing jewels of great beauty was also discovered, including priceless brooches and necklaces, the insignia showing the sacred serpent bearing a sun disc, which might he fresh from a London jeweller’s shop window.
