LOYAL ORANGE LODGE. The Pride of the Boyne, L.0.L., No. H 7, has purchased the old Presbyterian Church* building for conversion into an Orange Hall. The building is in a good state of preservation and should with a little renovation, serve its new purpose for many years to come. A hall dedication sorrice is to be held on Thursday evening bv the R.W.G.M.. I lev' Brother Cummings, assisted by the Revs J. F. Fermi, TV. H. Howes and A. N. Scotter. The leading officers of the Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist Churches have received invitations to be present. Previous to rtlie service the Mayor (Mr TV. A. Banks) will aooorded a civic welcome to the H TY.G M. and Grand Lodge Ex ei irtive. LATYN TENNIS. At a meeting of the tennis section o| tho Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club held On Friday evening the reignation of Mr H. C. D. van Asch from the office of secretary was received and accepted and Miss Elsie Guy was appointed to the office. It was decided to arrange a Yankee tournament. FIRE ALARM. An open window at the Red Lion Hotel, a curtain, a candle and a gust of wind were a- combination responsible shortly after nine o’clock. The blaze the eye of Mr T. Bullock, who v. as at his garage nearby, and he lost no time in reaching the scene of the fire with an extinguisher, which he used to such good effect that the flames wore subdued before much material damage was done.
