Subsequently a military aeroplane pursued and bombed the ambushers, and ranked with machine-gun fire the wood in which they took refuge, inflicting heavy casualties. This is the first time an aeroplane has been used against the Republicans, and it is believed it will prove a decisive factor in the struggle.
