METROPOLITAN WEEKLY MARKET. TO-DAY’S SALE. There was a- fairly large yarding of beef at the metropolitan weekly market at Addington to-day, but mutton Avas in short supply, there l>ciiig only eight and a half races of fat sheep forward. At the start the fat cattle sale was not. particularly bright and prices showed no improvement on the reduced ones of the previous week. Fat lambs again met with a good demand and taken all round prices were on a par with those of the last sale. Store sheep met with a. remarkably good demand and all round pnoes were belter than even the good ones of last tveek. STORE SHEEP. There was a larger entry of store sheep than last week. ft consisted chiefly of wethers with a few lines of ewes and lambs. There A\*ere a lot of good wethers forward. The demand was remarkably good throughout for wethers and prices were better than even the good ones of last week. Ewes and lambs also sold very well at improving prices. A rather iriteresting feature of the sale was two trucks of store lambs, tlie first of the season. One line from the Peninsula made 22s 5d and the other line 20s Gd. A line of tAvo, four, ancl six-tooth Chatham Island ewes made 28s 6d. Values wen*:Porward, four, six and eight-tooth wethers, 26s 2d to 28s 9d. Good four and six-tooth wethers. 24e to 26s 3d.
