"GETTING THE WIND UP.”
TO TICK XI9XTOB.Sir.—Tit® Moot Party is evidently “ getting the rind tip,” oyer the result of tits fmdhooniing election. One or the latest indications of this 13 the protest- made in certain Reform quarters ap-ittat Mr Wilford’s visit to Hastings to speak on behalf on the Liberal candidate who is .opposing General Sir Andrew BraaeU- Such a protest is petty in the ertreme, and I am sore ft does not have the support of Sir Androw. in any case, is not the visit of Mr ijasacy to the West Coast simflar to Mr Wilford’s visit to iiastings? The: Liberal candidate for Westland is Mr T. PI. T- Seddon, who like Sir Antlrew "did his bit during the Great War. ar.d, if the Reformers argne that too ranch opposition should not be Tj, ought to bear against Sir Andrew because of his war services, then the same applies to Mr Seddon. La any case I am sure that neither of these candidates minds a hard light so long as ic is fair, and that both will fight as gallantly in the political field as they did in the fields of Flanders. —1 am, beturked soldier.
