CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
REFUSED BY COURT. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON. November 29. William Robert Thompson sued the Hansford and Mills Construction Company, Ltd . for £IOOO damages and compensation for an accident by which his leg was broken during work in the new Parliamentary buildings. The company admitted liability for compensation, blit ilie amount paid, said plaintiff’s counsel, was inadequate. The defence denied that the circumstances oi ihe accident warranted a claim for damages. Tho .jury returned a verdict for the defendants.
